It’s funny really, to watch you trying to make lies
Sound like honesty and that you think so lowly of me
When you think you’ve got me
And I’m just playing along…
Making me the better, greater liar….
It’s downright funny seeing you pretend
That you enjoyed what brought another another
Even though you secretly hate the source…
Don’t even understand it…
You won’t be honest and say what you feel…
Well sometimes when it’s something I love
You come on down with the ignorant responses
Show your true character and displeasure…
I believe you stated once, that
If another we know were
To speak of the same things…
You would come down on her regarding it…
Been there and you went back on that…
You’re so obvious…
It hurts really…
Sound like honesty and that you think so lowly of me
When you think you’ve got me
And I’m just playing along…
Making me the better, greater liar….
It’s downright funny seeing you pretend
That you enjoyed what brought another another
Even though you secretly hate the source…
Don’t even understand it…
You won’t be honest and say what you feel…
Well sometimes when it’s something I love

You're Doing Very Well
The world will barely notice when he’s dead.
A few, perhaps, may give their last goodbyes.
He could have built a legacy. Instead,
He stepped aside, abandoning the prize.
He never yearns to climb, to sing, to swim,
Emotions rarely rushing for release.
Excitement, chaos, change, are not for him.
The silence of seclusion, pure, is peace.
His life is not an empty, sterile shell,
Perhaps more full than others can conceive.
He tells himself, “You’re doing very well,”
A gift he is delighted to receive.
Reluctant to reveal the heart he hides,
Beyond ambition, quiet, calm, he glides.

Here and Now
“Here and Now” I will wait to say, ‘Goodbye’, Until you see we have lost each other… When you can tell yourself your heart needs more, When you are free to watch as the shadow disappears… On the day you hear what I have tried to say, When I hope you will see your right to choose… …between the happiness you say I give to you, Or the life you have betrayed for the Here and Now. Home is not a place where we live, in one another’s heart— We are too ashamed to confess what we have found there Is a sickness—a longing for what we should have been. I will wait to depart until no tears can be shed, For I cannot bear to live long enough to see you weep. I loved you that you saw light where none could shine— Alas! I hated myself, that as I loved you, I have been the eclipse of a world so many steps away. You have missed the dawn of too many years, Turning your golden blindness to the twilight Where you say my shadow is waiting to be found. You do not see what lies beyond… I will not take you
