The shadows! The shadows that cast no people
I see them running along the port and the tracks
While I, Captain Morgan and the fat frogs
Juvenile march through the urban landscape…
Elsewhere another self is offered a place of work
Which tearfully accepts…
What appeared routine and retail in nature…
Would be far different to that imagined
Basement beakers and explosions
Bit only fireworks and steam stemming from it…
Causing to run out at rapid speed
My body becoming strangely stiff
My throat being lumped
I took no poison in the sun, the eye sting see
A sober in the sight of a drunk I walk off balance
I see no longer any sight of the captain, the shadows
Or their lily-inclined companions…
I feel they have abandoned me
Left for some other dream…
Saw nothing interesting in being party to participant
I my own….

The Creature
The creature has no rational or logical reason for being It swims in a murky pool of hopes and delusions Dreaming of a day without intolerance, injustice or suffering The creature knows only to struggle on not knowing why, it strives to survive Clinging desperately to a small spark of light That flickers in the darkness like a distant star It wonders if there is more to this existence Than pain, fear and sorrow The creature longs for a connection a touch of warmth and kindness A glimpse of beauty and joy But it feels so alone so lost and hopeless Meanwhile, out in the distance the mighty storm grows stronger The creature roars and rages within the thunder and lightning The storm threatens to engulf the fragile flame of life The storm shows no mercy no compassion or understanding It is the enemy the destroyer of dreams The storm is reality the harsh and cruel truth The creature does not give up it fights with all its might It seeks a way out of the endless night It

Rose - The Biggest Baller (Part 1)
Rose Pillar liked to think that she was doing better with her anxiety. The day of her first dance recital saw her throw up all over her tights, and she almost passed out when her friends dared her to jump off the high dive at the pool. When she first learned that her family was moving not just to a new town, but a whole other country? Those were a rough few days, and that was before she even stepped off the plane; her first day at school was so nerve-wracking that she hyperventilated and spent half the day in the nurse’s office. Were it not for the help of her soon-to-be lifelong friends, she had no idea how she would have survived high school. And now, she was feeling that swell of panic all over again as she stood outside her new home for the next four years. Ridgewood College was a small university, especially when compared to some of her friends’ picks, but that was just what Rose wanted. If she had to deal with all those crowds at some of the bigger schools, she very well

Lila's Hunger
Me and Lila had been together for several years now, and it had been the best time of both our lives. We met at a local get-together set up by my company and hers as a way to get the others to know each other before the big merge was about to happen. From there, things went well. Better than well: fantastic. We went on multiple dates, hung out in person a lot, got to work with each other at the company, and before you knew it, we were together. Today was our 4 year anniversary and things were going great: woke up together after a long night of loving each other, went to see a couple movies, got dinner, and finally we were back at the house ready for more love making. Lila stood in the doorway, her long brown hair flowing gently down her sides, the way her round framed glasses sat on her button nose, her jasper colored eyes, and most of all the slim physique that nearly made her an hourglass shape. I on the other hand was nothing close to that. I was heavier set, a stomach that was
